Venues in Vashon Island
- Foxglove Lodge. Their published vendor page names island food trucks and a mobile pizza oven directly, and states water and power are on site. The strongest single lead in the entire research set.
- Woodland Gardens. 50 to 300 depending on the space. States you are welcome to work with whatever vendor team you like, and open flame is allowed absent a fire ban.
- The Lodges on Vashon. Has a caterer list, or you can provide your own.
- LaSalle Reserve. Garden and waterfront.
- Froggsong Gardens. Do not pitch — exclusive caterer.
The single best-fit place we found. One Vashon venue lists a mobile pizza oven on its own preferred-vendor page, and the island is structurally protected because the largest Seattle competitor states it does not travel on ferries.
How a wedding runs
We arrive early, site the oven where the venue and fire marshal are happy with it, and light the fire about an hour before service so it is at temperature. Pizzas come out continuously through cocktail hour and dinner, roughly ninety seconds apart, so nobody queues for long and nothing sits going cold.
Vashon Island sits in King County, so temporary food permits go through Public Health — Seattle & King County, and open-flame cooking needs fire marshal sign-off. We carry our own licensing and deal with that paperwork.
