Skykomish valley town with fairgrounds and farm venues.
An hour and a half from Tacoma. We cover all of it — downtown Monroe, the fairgrounds, Tualco Valley — and the oven sets up anywhere a trailer can park and a fire marshal will approve.
What follows is not a directory scrape. We read each venue's published catering policy on 2026-08-31, and the notes below say what their own site actually states.
400 seated, 600 mix-and-mingle. States you must have a licensed and insured caterer; the venue is operated by an in-house caterer, so confirm the outside policy directly.
100 guests.
Late August into September at the Monroe fairgrounds. Applications open around February. Notably they explicitly do not want burgers, hot dogs, espresso or ice cream, which thins the competition for pizza.
Monroe sits in Snohomish County, so temporary food service runs on a Temporary Food Establishment permit through the Snohomish County Health Department. Handled by the local fire marshal. Several Snohomish venues have no prep facilities at all, which makes a self-contained oven the easier answer rather than the harder one. We carry our own licensing and insurance and handle this side, but venues will ask, and it is worth knowing the answer exists before the day.
We arrive early enough to site the oven, light the fire about an hour before service, and cook continuously — a pizza roughly every ninety seconds once the oven is at temperature. Guests watch the whole thing happen. When service ends we break down, pack out and leave the site as found. One invoice, the address on it.
