Residential plateau with a weekly summer concert series that rotates its food vendor — one of the better recurring slots in the region.
An hour from Tacoma. We cover all of it — Pine Lake, Beaver Lake, the plateau — and the oven sets up anywhere a trailer can park and a fire marshal will approve.
May to September, Wednesdays. $50 application, priority by the end of March.
Thursdays in July and August at Pine Lake Park. A rotating food-truck slot that fills several months ahead.
No catering company could be verified as actually based in Sammamish, which is unusual and means everyone serving it is travelling in.
We publish this because you will find these operators anyway, and comparing openly beats pretending they do not exist. Our own comparisons are on the compare pages.
Sammamish sits in King County, so temporary food service runs on a Temporary Food Establishment permit, applied for through Public Health — Seattle & King County. Open-flame and propane cooking is approved city by city. Seattle itself requires a Seattle Fire Department permit, with cylinders kept at least ten feet from tents and the public and no more than five on site. We carry our own licensing and insurance and handle this side, but venues will ask, and it is worth knowing the answer exists before the day.
We arrive early enough to site the oven, light the fire about an hour before service, and cook continuously — a pizza roughly every ninety seconds once the oven is at temperature. Guests watch the whole thing happen. When service ends we break down, pack out and leave the site as found. One invoice, the address on it.
